As a writer, I understood the importance of getting published on one of my trips abroad. On saying “I am an author.” I was immediately asked, “Published?” And when I said, “Yes, in about 8 anthologies and one solo collection.” Their expressions said it all. From awe to pleasure, it was all writ on their faces.

From the Founder’s Desk: Finance Fundas

Last weekend, I concluded a 10-week financial literacy course for women. Hosted by a local NGO, this course was largely for homemakers and women who worked as domestic help and/or cooks in areas nearby.

Having worked in financial services for a decade, I am fortunate to have learned financial planning very early in my life. I come from a family where I am the third generation woman to be financially independent. It took one incident in my life for me to realize how this wasn’t a norm.

10 February 2023, New Delhi:

With Valentine’s Day around the corner, Saga Fiction (India’s first mobile fiction-reading app) is proud to announce the publication of Eternally Single, Rosa Álvarez by Neerja Pawar. This romantic comedy will be released exclusively as an e-book on 14 February 2023.

Rosa Álvarez leads two lives – one is deceptively normal. A respectable physiotherapist living in Los Angeles: the city of fish tacos and famous bigwigs. She works hard at her job, loves living the single life, and has a trip home to Mexico at the very top of her priority list. And other is her mother’s worst nightmare.

From the Founder’s Desk: Featured in Deccan Herald

In the last two years, we have worked on 3 manuscripts in the crime genre. Not to mention the short stories on crime we accepted and edited for Kitaab. Add to it, I know at least 4 people who have been commissioned to write on crime. Can safely say my obsession with true crime stories was finally put to great use.!

Needless to add, this at times makes for great conversations with absolute strangers in the most random of places. Loved talking about all this with Savitha for this piece in Deccan Herald.
