Bookish Recommendations : Women in Translation

August is celebrated as Women in Translation month across the world. Using the hashtags #WITmonth and #WomeninTranslation, book lovers from all over the world have been sharing their favourite reads. Celebrating it by either re-reading old favourites or discovering new books in this manner.

To commensurate this month, Team KC also decided to participate and talk about one book daily for whole of August written by a women which was a translated work. As we are primarily focussed on Indian Writing, we have tried to merge that with this and talk about women writers in Indian regional languages whose work has been translated into English.

Join us and share some of your favourites, help us discover new authors. Do note, it is suggested to name the translators also in the posts as we don’t want to take away the limelight from them for their hard work.

Sharing some of the book recommendations shared by us so far, do follow this thread to stay updated.
