Penguin Random House India is looking for Associate/Senior Copy Editor for their Children’s division

A unique opportunity at India’s most prestigious publishing house to see a book through from the manuscript stage till handover. From authors like Ruskin Bond, Sudha Murty, late Dr Kalam, Roopa Pai, Devdutt Pattanaik, Namita Gokhale, Anita Nair, Paro Anand, Subhadra Sengupta, to many other literary stalwarts, Penguin Random House India’s Children division is home to books by some of the finest voices in this country. It also boasts of a diverse and rich backlist of bestselling and award-winning titles. We are looking for passionate readers with some experience in kids’ content.

The ideal candidate should possess a degree in liberal arts and at least have 8-10 years of children’s list editing experience at a creative organization or a reputed English-language publishing house. 
This role encapsulates an all-round experience with some of the key areas of responsibility like editing, proofreading, author care, schedule management, in-house support on catalogues, metadata and trade letters, among others.

A good command of the English language, passion for books, and hunger to excel are a must.
