What we are looking for, is a young mind with some amazing ideas and at least 6 months of experience but not more than 1 year.
Role and Responsibilities: As a Manuscript Editor, you will be responsible for reviewing and polishing manuscripts to ensure they are well-crafted, engaging, and error-free. Your primary duties will include:
Editing and Proofreading: Thoroughly review manuscripts for grammatical errors, punctuation, syntax, and spelling mistakes. Refine sentence structure and paragraph flow to enhance readability while preserving the author’s unique voice.
Content Evaluation: Assess the overall plot, character development, pacing, and consistency to provide constructive feedback to authors. Help authors enhance their narratives and storytelling techniques.
Style Consistency: Ensure adherence to the publishing house’s style guide and maintain consistent language usage throughout the manuscript.
Collaborative Communication: Work closely with authors, fellow editors, and other departments to discuss editorial changes, address concerns, and ensure a collaborative and efficient workflow.
Research and Fact-Checking: Conduct necessary research to verify facts, historical details, and other elements crucial to the accuracy of the manuscript.
Project Management: Manage multiple manuscripts simultaneously, adhering to strict deadlines while maintaining the highest quality of work.
