Being editor, and author herself of fiction to non-fiction writing, Namrata approached the early draft of my first novel ‘A Brown Coat’ (now ‘The Terracotta Goddesses’) with astute reading, picking out inconsistencies as much as appreciating its strengths and curating them toward the next levels of improvement.
She was a fast enough beta-reader and turned in her critique quickly and is a very instinctive reader who brings in rich empathetic understanding and experience from her own life. My novel has undergone many rewrites after that, but the earlier vote of confidence from Namrata and other beta-readers motivated me to move eagerly to the next milestone.
